We doin't stop them going in there, but we do expect a level of honest discourse at a slightly higher level than GD, and it seems several very vocal people couldn't keep away from the insults, or remember that SC is meant to be a higher quality of discourse with sources where possible rather than opinions or a bunch of youtube videos or random nonsense conspiracy theories.

Taser isn't the be all and end all and does not always work and a knife incident does not always warrant taser use.
In the US, as in the UK, having an honest held belief that someone's life is in immediate danger by the actions of another with a knife may well justify lethal force. A knife can kill you irrespective of it being waved by a child or an adult and irrespective of the ethnicity and gender of the assailant.
Not a go at you at all but there seems to be a lot of thinking that a knife incident should always be met with a taser response.
