Using Multiplugs

I have a multiplug with "slave" and "master sockets". The slave sockets turn off if the appliance plugged into the master stops drawing power. I can turn off my PC remotely (I have a smart plug plugged into it) and it turns off my monitors and my desk lamp etc. It's on a timetable and switches on and off automatically as I leave or come back home.

This kind of set up gives lots of options.

smart plugs are an option.
i use one of these to manage a light as part of an alarm clock along with a socket timer.
Benifit of a remote to turn everything off, or individual plugs, then have the light turn on at set times if the main socket has power.

but honestly i leave everything on usually and dont really turn anything off for any periods of time.

Step 1, turn router off using smart plug.

Step 2, errrrrrm.

Plugged into the wall without anything else sharing the wall socket

So what's the question? Can you leave them on? A few appliances (which sound like they will be switched off) isn't going to be a problem over the weekend. I mean, it's not a problem if you are looking at it, is it?

(genZ don't know how to wire a plug so a multiplug would be alien to them - delulu)

Desktop unless in standby is going to be burning electricity several units a day - hasn't everyone checked out the power consumption of their gadgets when they had their first smart meter ?
so I'd unplug a desktop for starters, unless I'd burned money on a solar setup.

thank you to everybody for the replies. I'm going to leave everything as it is.
