My FPS is far higher now, on Shangrila looking out into the center from a ledge I'm getting like 70+ FPS, before I was dropping to the 30's.

Who'd have thought, the frickin motherboard bios was behind this... :eek:

how do u enter your email address every time i use the @ it brinsg up the console..

Me too from now on, EVERYTHING.

Old bios:
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
28796, 637148, 21, 112, 45.195

New bios:
Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg
32112, 449664, 33, 129, 71.413

The first benchie was done on a 32 player server but tbh there was the same amount of action in most places and it was very smooth, the minimum frame rate appeared like once or twice that was it. :eek:

Quite happy with my performance so far ;P

1280x1024 Max Details, 16xAA enabled in CCC

15 bots on Sharang La or whatever its called! Ah the good old Pro(XT)

You need to rename it to Bioshock.exe to make AA work if you ain't already jrodga.

Just rename the .exe?

that should work for ATi Cards CCC AA?

Don't think it works for ATi card.

I've decided against using AA for this game it just does not need it your moving that fast you don't really notice jaggies. With AA on things can dip to 30-40FPS which just doesnt feel smooth enough for me. I will see how DX10 performance does with AA as that might help it somewhat.

I doubt I'll use AA in the full game either, if I can run this in Dx10 smoothly with all on max at 1920x1080 I'm more than happy, hopefully will be alright.

I'm averaging about 30fps on my 7600gt mid/high settings 1152x864, which is very playable.....BUT with the rest of my hardware will I see worthwhile gains going to a 8800gts 320mb with my 3800 X2 @ 2.5ghz and 2gb RAM?

Does anyone have experience of a similar setup?...I will order one tomorrow if it's worthwhile without bottlenecking the card too much.

I get about 25FPS with my my pc + 7600GT (in sig) and thats in a DM busy map, just updating BIOS and gfx drivers now to see if it helps.

I'm under the impression that the UT3 engine scales well with CPU speed and number of cores.

Also as mentioned, its difficult to compare results between machines because of a lack of a canned time demo.

Can i ask what BIOS you are now on please? I have the exact same board and if its giving you such an increase, should boost mine a bit..in theory!

F12 but I'm on the S3 board (DS3 sounds cooler

), practically the same as the DS3 but they may have slightly different bios releases. Just go on the Gigabyte page and download the latest one.
