UT3

It was the community that killed it for me, I remember going into servers and being told not to use certain weapons and vehicles, anyone who did was kicked. The only team deathmatch server that I started to play on got to the point where people with low scores were being blamed for the teams loss and were kicked.

I remember loading up UT99 not long ago, joining a quick death match server and not being able to get a single kill, but people had a laugh about it and welcomed anybody, regardless of skill.

Yeaaa that's probably what i loved most about UT99, always able to have fun even when i was playing terribly :)

Played UT99 on my Dad's first computer (Packard Bell I think?) when I was 6... Definitely in the top 10 games of my life so far, and will remain there.

UT3 was good, but it just didn't have that manic fast paced bloodshed while bouncing off the walls that UT99 had.

I also liked UT3, unfortunately got to the point where no one played it.

For those people who enjoy UT3, or games like it I strongly suggest trying out Tribes Ascend.

It's a free to play competitive shooter.
