Valve has a surprise for us..

Ha! The only valve game I truly and deeply love is TF2, and I knew it wasn't going to be of any use to me, but that is a fantastically poo surprise. It was certainly a surprise, though.

Valve's Gabe Newell appeared at Sony's E3 press conference to say Steam is coming to the PlayStation Network, and Portal 2 will be available for the PS3 on the same day it releases for Xbox 360 and PC.

wow So it was portal 2, no controversy really as its out on 3 formats... just surprise that its on PSN with full steam functionality. Thats like announcing Steam for macs.. who cares...

/edit. have i missed something, apparently MAYBE you can play steam games on PC, or on PS3 ?!?

not that i own a ps3 but that would be something

Steam for macs, I thought that was brilliant. I've never owned a mac, and doubt I ever will, but new players is always good for a game, like TF2 for instance.

valve are lame , expect some angry pc people posting nasty comments on the steam forums . the mods will have their hands full today lol , serves them right ****ers

Valve are dumb and can go away.

kinda arrogant but holds true
why do these developers continually turn there back on the market that brings them success.

I know the answer of course its money :D

so Gabe wasn't able to milk the pc market for all it was worth now he will attempt to deceive the console market only difference is he will actually have to release a game every year or two years because the console market switch games all the time. There is no loyalty in the console market.

lol wtf are people moaning about it was stated a week or so ago that valve will just be announcing something portal related

Most people expected something Portal 2 related, not just something as boring and inconsequential as porting it too the least played console.

What an excellent end to a 17 page thread of PC gaming climax... and it has NOTHING to do with PC gamers.

The BIG reveal at E3 and a Portal 2 trailer:
