Apparently it has a 28CU 8GB RDNA3 card. So slower than an RX7600.
Are there any APUs with RDNA4 yet? I think the Strix Halo is only 3.5.Price might be great but the specs are meh.
A 200W mini PC with a cut down RX7600 8GB and RDNA3 based without FSR4 support is a tough sell in 2026. This needed to be a cut down 9060 variant, that would had a huge performance uplift at the same power.
They reiterated again today that they will not release a new steam deck until the performance jump is significant without costing stupid money. They specifically said even 50% faster than steam deck is not good enoughSteam Deck 2 must be years away then. I have no use for the Steam Machine but good luck to them I guess. Surely their own device will do better than the last time they tried by partnering up with other companies.
This isnt an APU is it? It sounds like a CPU and dGPU as its got separate VRAM.Are there any APUs with RDNA4 yet? I think the Strix Halo is only 3.5.
Will probably be enough for most given how well the SD has done. It’s basically on par with consoles and if you play lighter games it’ll be fine.
I could see SD2 using RDNA4 for a proper leap in performance, but it’ll take a year or 2 for the manufacturing costs to come down enough to make it feasible.
Price. £300 or thereabouts or it's an easy pass.
Is the spec page wrong ? It says it has HDMI 2.0 that supports 4K/120fps ; I thought HDMI 2.0 only did up to 4K/60 fps.
This is what it says for HDMI 2.0 in the spec sheet:It’s likely through displayport.
I’m surprised no ones really spoken about a lack of hdmi 2.1. The focus has been on the fairly low specs of the gpu.
It sounds like it's a PlayStation 5
This is what it says for HDMI 2.0 in the spec sheet:
- Up to 4K @ 120Hz
- Supports HDR, FreeSync, and CEC
Still think this must be wrong. The OLED display in my living room doesn't support Displayport; HDMI 2.0 is a deal-breaker for me.
Edit: sorry I should have checked the specs. Yeah it’s odd that they’re saying it supports 4k 120 hdr etc. It won’t have the bandwidth to support all of that with hdmi 2.0

The specs are on the website. The CPU is pretty good, but the GPU is on the weak side and has only 8GB of RAM.I’d be interested to see what the specs are. I wonder if I can replace my PC.
Linux is not able to fully support 2.1 because apparently the certification body won't open source the drivers.Quote from the DF interview/media Q&A with Valve is that apparently the hardware supports HDMI 2.1, but that it lacks DSC for 4K 165hz and hence why they have it listed at 'only' a 4K 120hz. Also support for VRR too (Video link with relevent part at 25:25 onwards).
So I think on that basis it's not an issue - assuming that's all correct and it is at least a 4K 120hz output over HDMI.
Digital Foundry said; looking at the specs it will be somewhere between a Series S and a PS5, but closer to the PS5.It sounds like it's a digital PlayStation 5
Hopefully it's like $349 or less, otherwise tough sell
You’re right, I meant SoC but was mainly comparing what’s already out there with similar performance and what that costs. This isnt an APU is it? It sounds like a CPU and dGPU as its got separate VRAM.
