But then some ppls pap is other ppls gold, or in other words what 1 person may think is utter rubbish may be *** to someone else, so ill w8 for me key and check for myself :D

It took me 14hours to download the updates through the client lol.
I just logged in and my character has completely changed appearance the graphics have all gone dodgy,its never gonna make the release date.
 
i got my key :). but still havnt downloaded the client. doing it now at full pelt but its still going to take a while..

so i have to sign up with SoE first do i?
 
I think this game looks as though it's got plenty of potential. Will definately be giving a shot and as I haven't read up in it much, I'm just going to play it with no expectations and make my judgement from there.

Game looks and plays nice, fps is kinda low at the min tho, im running at 1920x1200 on high settings and getting around 25-30 fps .. ill have to tweak later got some leveling up to do :P
 
Im getting terrible performance like many on the official forums just unplayable unless I run it at 1024x768 with all sliders at 0 but as you can imagine looks awful :confused:

Change the res then back to what ever you want , worked for me :D
 
o dear what are your specs?

i have E6300 temporally at stock everything, and X1600 pro graphics card. what can i expect?

got another 2 hours for download.

nothing special dual core 4200 1Gig Ram 6800GT,
 
Luckily I managed to get the key from fileplanet via my work Internet which happens to have an American gateway.

I've got to say I'm quite taken with the game - It looks like a good combination of the original EQ1 and bits of WoW. So the challenge/hardness of EQ1 with some of the usability improvements of WoW.

Its fairly demanding in terms of hardware - but with the graphics set for 'performance' I'm running around 50fps at 1920x1200 with my 8800GTX and AMD single core 4000. I've seen some mention that the performance in the beta is lower than it will be in live as they still have a bunch of diagnostics running on the server.

I've pre-ordered the boxset and now I've played the beta a bit I'm not regretting my decision :)

50Fps what i would do for 5fps :D
 
Changed the setting to high performance mode and getting about 40 fps now at 1920x1200, still looks great to :D
Currently level 8 , gonna try and get a mount today
 
I found the classes a bit confusing as i usally play a Bard however they changes they have made to that class arent the best making bards songs cost mana?????? and making ** own songs, this is the truely confusing bit this isnt DnD 3.5 rules :eek:
 
hmm looks like you need to unzip the file using the fileplanet dl manager otherwise it says corrupt!

yes and it works very good ,and acctualy it is realy goot web site i got there subscription for few months already,and i have to pay only 3,7pounds a month ,and i am aviable to download all new demos,betas,patches,with very fast speed!
one more good thing is u can buy games online and download it with Cd keys and stuff,very fast and good service in my opinion!
