Vanity is not a sin...

It is funny - because my technique is currently massively lumpy - the strength from heavy squatting is actually making these lifts oddly easy, particularly considering I haven't done any proper (heavy, from floor) snatch work for a while...

Given that I was benching and towing? My left ear. ;) :D

The problem relates to my inability to fix my left scap when my arm is in a certain position (and possibly all positions, but have only tested down by side) and my muscles' apparent inability to contract properly . :(

RSR W2D3 (6*4 @ 140kg) Felt good. Last set was pretty heavy and a bit of forward lean on the last two reps, but not bad at +5kg from what it should be...

Platform came free, so...

SNATCH (3s) 40-50 Nope - optimistic after all the squatting!
CLEAN -> 5*PUSHPRESS 50-80(3)-70-70 Second set was too much grind, so laid off the weight. 70kg was a good 'reset' point considering I have hardly done any pressing recently...

MOAR rotator cuff work...

Good session. I like.

Edit: *sigh* Spot the error. Next week will suck. :D

OVERHEAD SQUAT (1) 60 Doing this very slowly so my daughter could watch, and mimic with a broom handle was TOUGH.

Daughter did some pressing with a 1.25kg plate then went for breakfast...

HANG SNATCH (3s) 80 Suprisingly easy... just need to connect it all together.
SNATCH HIGH PULLS (3s) 100 Ran out of time...

RSR W3D1 (6*2 @ 140kg) This felt REALLY hard for some reason; probably because the first three sets were at 145kg, but considering next week is 150kg @5*5, it sucked. I suspect it was the unwarranted snatch pulls in the morning, but...

RSR W3D2 (6*6 @ 140kg) Urgh. That was gross... wanted to vomit before the last rep of the fifth set, and had to take a 20sec breather before the final rep. Same issue on the last set. Never thought I'd look forward to srs intense work in the coming weeks, but any more volume and I might explode...

I think once this round of RSR is done, I'll just be concentrating on the Olympic lifts as my squat will be big enough to remove any excuses from the 'leg' department. Moar is always better, but this also applies to the Olympic stuff. :D

I like the feeling in my legs, but not so keen on the sensations from the waist up... :eek:

CLEAN -> 5*PP 40(:p)-70-75-80(1) That's disappointing - a knee twinge I got from yesterday's penultimate squat rep seems to be slightly more prolonged that I'd thought. Shoulders were a bit stiff, and I have no idea what my left one is doing... :(
BENCH (8s) 40-70-75-75 Better... shoulder is still unhappy, but it seems to have grudgingly gone along with the plan.

HANG SNATCH (3s) 50-60-70-70-80-90(1)-90 (1) Interesting. Huge amount of power from legs meant this easy, but 90kg was actually a power snatch (was afraid to catch the bar in a squat, as was in the work gym)
RSR W3D1 (6*2 @ 140kg) Four sets as - wbilst feeling strong - my knee was still a bit sore. Two days to recover should work wonders.
OHP (5s) ss/w WG CHINS (5s) 40-45-50 Shoulder is feeling much better, but still needs work.

Generally slow and a bit rubbish this morning - my brain couldn't remember how to do any of this stuff, so dropping the bar all over the place. For some strange reason, the bar wound up off-centre a couple of times, too... :eek: :o

Hopefully squatting this aftenroon won't be quite disastrous. :D

EDIT: Ok - squatting was disastrous. :p

RSR W4D1 (5*5 @ 150kg) First set was actually great; second set was a grind... managed 4 reps on the third and then had to bail on the fourth set on the second rep. :(
OHP (8-5-5-5) 40-50-50-50 Shoulder is feeling better, but might switch to dumbells to make sure the movement is nice and clean.

Looking back on today, I know why the workouts weren't great: gut-rot. Lots of it. :D

Will be re-doing this session on Friday to account for today's failure. :)

Pump from arm work was painful... Snatch pulls were a bit slower than normal, but probably because I've not done them for a while, and my speed is less than awesome due to the weight. :D
 
First day back after a work trip...

RSR W3D3 (6*2 @ 140kg) Heh. Crazy to think that on Monday I managed 150*5, because today was nasty! :)
PANDA PULLS (5s) 50-70 Back was tired!

Routine resumption day. I knew it was going to suck, so I wasn't necessarily disappointed. Still, 150*5 in two days' time is going to hurt. I will do it, but it will hurt. A lot. :D :cool:
