Simply because I have never really tried heavier from the floor (gave 120kg a try today but was a bit slow and it made too much noise), or trained hard for it.

Sounds dumb, but cleans are pretty hard to drop without causing a huge disruption. :D

BACK SQUAT (8s) 130-135-135 Tipping forward a smidge makes my lumbar go a bit funny as the reps increase. However, it's not the end of the world, so I'm not too worried. :o

HANGING LEG RAISE ss/w LAT RAISE ss/w BROCEPS ss/w TRICEPS (12s) Only included hanging leg raises on the second and third sets, but pfft. Arms and shoulders got pump-shafted. :cool:

Hmmm... next week I start out at... 147.5*5 for squats. :o :p Not quite where I finished up with RSR, but close enough to be pretty unpleasant. :D

SNATCH (3s) 70-80(fff)-80(f1f) A bit ropey... I lost the bar behind me for the first time in... about a year. :eek: :mad: Over-compensating in the second pull.

Heels were infinitely better this time; just need to practice the first pull element.

EDIT: as a result of the lack of training and associated vast quantities of food, I reached a 7-day low of 94.6kg this morning (empty, after training, and having drunk two pints of water). This is down from an all-time heaviness of 98.4kg (empty, but post-barbecue - empty morning average of around 97kg). Amusing what not eating moderate excesses and going without carb reloads actually does. I haven't squatted this week, so I have no idea how badly strength is affected at the moment... probably going to be a sad day. :D

Ooooh... first time in the gym for... well... four days. :D

I spent most of yesterday walking around with my kids, which paid off as rather sharp knee pain when squatting today, so decided it wasn't worth aggravating it and just did arms, instead...

POWER SNATCH (3s) 35-50-70 Who loads the bar with 35kg? Come on - seriously? Couldn't be bothered to unload it, so just kicked off with it as I found it. Bar moving nicely, but no platform so decided to not go crazy.
BACK SQUAT (5s) 70-110-130 Something is making my knee hurt... closer inspection reveals guitar string for an IT band/TFL/vastus lateralis. Teach me to not spend the customary 45 minutes warming up... :rolleyes:

So, with all kinds of leg work binned (even deadlifts hurt...)...

Spent a long time stretching out this morning, as my legs (more specifically, adductors) were still fried from Wednesday's exuberance.

SNATCH (3s) 60-70-80-90(1f1) 90kg is getting increasingly achievable: second rep was great, but the last rep was just fatigued. This weight is probably good for doubles/singles., which means moar volume at around 70/80kg. :o
SNATCH PULLS (5s) 100 For the trap and shoulder burn. :cool:
 
Redoing the home gym yesterday (i.e. torrential rain) with 150kg of plates was like playing very heavy Tetris... so I couldn't face the gym this morning, I was that exhausted.

This afternoon, however...

MUSCLE SNATCH (5s) BAR-40-50
SNATCH (3s) 50-70-80(1ff) Back wasn't working. At all.
HANG SNATCH (4s) 80-90(f1f)-90(1f1)-90(1f) Yeah, back was shot, meaning the failures were due to the bar coming too far out front. Power was good, but back said an emphatic "no."
BACK SQUATS (RSR W1D2 @ 135kg) No drama.

It's easy to see where technique comes apart with snatching, now - 90kg is working from a power perspective, but need to snatch when I haven't been silly the day before.

Restarted RSR at a slightly less optimistic weight to ensure I complete (heh), but to account for the fact that I'm also doing other stuff during training days. :)
