Today, my adductors actually felt worse than yesterday: getting out of bed this morning was pretty tough, so I figured I'd have a day off.

But decided active rest was the best way to recover, so figured some arm work was in order. But I'd done arms yesterday, so... front squats it is, then! :rolleyes:

FRONT SQUATS (1s) 60-90-110-125(BOOM!)-130(KABOOM!) Well, that was interesting. 125kg was not too bad, but 130kg was uuuuuuuugly. :D
RDLs (3s) 70-110-110 Light work to decompress my poor adductors...

Interesting session. I wonder if it tells me something about my preferred training system (low reps, heavy weight), that I find 110kg for 3 hard, but the predicted 1RM of 116kg or whatever 'easy' and then another 10kg 'similarly not difficult. :confused:

However, this does now mean I should be aiming to clean 120kg (:eek:). Jerk? Perhaps not yet, but we'll see. :D
 
That looked far to easy for a rep max, get back in there and add 5kg

Whilst I am not unconvinced my legs could deal, my upper back says no. :o :(

Haha yep that was gross, but a lovely weight to stand up with!

Yeah... :o Waist down seemed ok (knees stayed out, etc.), but keeping my thorax in the right place lumbar and upper just didn't happen! :(

Still, it is comforting to know that cleaning 120kg is both feasible and that catching the bar won't (necessarily) staple me! :eek: :D

Short workout yesterday afternoon involved some snatch (warming up with the coach's max was funny. :cool: ), some CnJ, front squats and RDLs. I front-racked 160kg to see what it felt like and I have a few more months before I get there. :D

Today...

SNATCH WARMUP (2s) 54-54 Weird weight, but some lamer forgot to strip the bar, and I couldn't be bothered to change it.
CLEAN -> 2*PP -> 1*PUSH JERK 70-85-85-85 Hard as.
BACK SQUAT (6s) 85-100-100-100-100 Still tight/knackered from Friday, it would seem!

DBSS tried to kill me. I wanted to die through the arm work, the residual leg pump was so horrific. :o
 
Legs weren't nowhere near as dead as Si expected today,so decided to fill my session with some moar back'n'hams...

WG CHINS (5s) ss/w DB ROW (6s) 14(40)-14(40)-14(40)-14(40) lats = smoked.
RDLs (8-5-5-5) 130-160-140-140 160kg was because the physio thought 130kg was too easy... First 3 reps were clean, then back started to flex, so dropped back to 140kg. Physio was impressed. :cool:

Hamstrings don't feel violated, so am left scratching my head (not doing GHRs)... :confused: :o
