Vidar's unofficially official weight loss log.

Hows it going Vidar?

One thing I would suggest. Have you got your own scales yet? because I am assuming you are going to Boots mid day ish. The best time to weight yoruself is as soon as you wake up. I always weigh a good 3/4 pounds more by mid day.

Things are going okay, I put on 1lb last week but know where I went wrong and although I've gotten a bit rubbish with recording my calories on my fitness pal, I am back at the gym and slowly trying to build up my fitness :)

Keep going mate - I have also had a bad week but just realising that and making adjustments is half the battle!

I have to say - no matter what, log!! It is the only way to face the reality of the situation, as after all our bodies are the most accurate logs at all and will show whatever you're choosing to ignore.

I am in dire need of someone to train with haha.

I'm pushing myself pretty well, was back the gym today to work on my legs and have started recording my reps and weight etc, I only managed 20 mins on the bike today though, 10 minutes less than Thursday but it felt like so much more of an effort I really struggled to keep going past 13 minutes.

Food wise I'm back to logging everything I consume but I'm still finding it more of a chore now, I'm still weighing everything etc and I can clearly see now when I'm going wrong but I need to get more motivation to keep logging so I've got a more accurate record.

Have a look by my log if you get the chance - I have now been logging for 50 days on the trott now... the good and the (very) bad.
Yesterday for example I was out on a bender with some friends and ended the day around 5k - 3000 more than my target.

When i weigh in tomorrow I am likely to have put on weight - or possibly have stayed the same. I will then be able to look back and the week and see the reasons why!

For your training - have a look at stronglifts 5x5 - it is a progressive system that gets results, and because your weights go up every week it keeps you motivated.

I'm sorry guys I haven't deliberately been ignoring people...

Truth is I'm not doing so great at the moment, had some unfortunate changes to my circumstances recently which has kicked off my depression into a full blown swing, I'm back on anti depressants for the first time in almost 3 years and just trying not to feel utterly bleak!

Things have gotten a bit better, I've started seeing my kids again thanks to CAFCAS and enjoying my time with them and I think my tablets are helping me! Not sure what's happening with the weight loss though, honestly I'm scared to weigh myself.... with my change in circumstances I'm having to eat processed crap again and can't afford my lean meats, treats and fresh fruit and vegetables..... Am hoping it's only temporary though and should be able to get back on track soon.

Sorry to hear it, buddy - good luck, whatever the case.

It is still possible to eat well on tiny budgets, but it requires thought and potential sacrifice.

Irrespective, may you enjoy seeing you kids and having time with them - that is by far and away the most important thing! :) :) :)
