View from the Shard

It's about about twice as much compare to other places around the globe.

It is $22/£14 (to go to top of Rockerfeller Centre (70th floor)
It is $25£16 to go to the observation deck on Empire State (87th floor)
It is $150/£12 HK to go to Sky100 in Hong Kong (100th floor)
It is €13/£12 to go to Eiffel Tower
It is $6 to go to Westin observation deck, but free if you eat at the restaurant, its kinda cool, has a spinning floor.

I've been up all of them

The thing is, London isn't really a great skyscraper city, it has a few tall buildings but it's skyline isn't dominated by them, it is a bit like Paris really. There are a few iconic buildings but they are much shorter.

IMHO the Shard doesn't belong in London. It's pretty much funded by Qatar, with restrictions as to what business can go on inside the building. It looks like someone just took a building design from the UAE and dumped it in the middle of London.

Seems very expensive, would expect it to be about a tenner. The programme on the building of the Shard is worth watching.

Shard has a massive rodent problem at the moment anyway, hope they keep them, make some friends whilst you go up.

Haha, not a chance. London's finest traffic wardens gave me a £120 parking ticket for delivering structural steel for the shard building, whilst waiting in a specific construction waiting zone. 'i'm not bitter' lol

I'm sure it'll be a good view up there, but too expensive really.

Do you work for Prestons of Potto? They delivered a lot of steel for the shard.

I went up for free, admittedly it wasn't even half completed when I did :p

It was still an impressive view even then, but I think I'll wait until some tesco 2 for 1 vouchers come out ;)
