Views on the Saxo VTS

Not for people but if you had to carry anything with the back seats down.

For a car of its age and size, it has a very LARGE boot, and one with a perfectly flat boot floor (spare wheel accessed from under car not in boot). With the rear seats folded flat, the storage space is massive for a car its size.

This coming from someone who lives with this situation on a day-to-day basis. Just for the record, i've had 5 people plus 2x21" CRT's in my car at once, and still could have fit quite a bit more smaller bits of "stuff" in the boot.

Might have just been that I was looking to getting two MTB's in the boot and it seemed to me smaller than the Corsa I had. (possibly just the different shape).

Ah well its still smaller than my A2 with the rear seats completely out :)

Go for the 306 GTi-6, it has a 6 speed box which makes it an absolute hoot to drive. Around town the box really gives in the edge, the power is always on tap. Following my brother around its very easy for me to be caught out as I have to change down so much in the VTi to keep up.

Also, the 306 has a pretty bad turning circle as a result, not a reason to dismiss the car though.

Check all the electrics and watch out for a heavy clutch, it might need doing.
Lift off oversteer is entertaining in the wet :D

there you go :)

Thats quite an ironic statement coming from somebody who owns a car which could perhaps be considered the number one choice of big medallion wearing chavs :p

Yet another attack against saxo owners in this thread

Reported to moderator!

There you go

To be fair, you're one of the worst when it comes to attacking other peoples cars :)

Coming from the guy who owns a taxi. :p

its not a personal attack its just the way society sees things and generally it does not see things without reason.
for example mx5's are deemd to be hairdressers cars,
saxos are deemed to be owned by chavs,
more recently evos and scoobys have been entering this slot too as the earlier ones have become more affordable to mr chav.

im not saying your a chav but 7/10 saxos i pass in my town have stuck on tat and "wayne loves fiona" plastered across the windscreen. coincidence. of course must be :/

Mine is currently 100% standard (except the speakers, and no I don't have a subwoofer!), ignore the wheels on it in my sig, they are now off the car!
So no, definately not a chav :)

Cymatty has a standard one too, and (if you have met him you will confirm this) not a chav!

GT3, is most definately not a chav (yes his is slightly modded though).

yes but you 3 have the brains and ability to use a computer, this does not remove the stigma that is attached to the vehicle , i see molested and chavved up saxos in various flavors including vtr and vts most days, i cant think of anytime i have seen a molested 106 gti in the flesh.

Do you want a picture of the 4 rancid bird-poo yellow ones around here that have been modded?

Sure the saxo seems in general to be modded more often, but you have to remember that a lot of the mods are interchangable between the two cars ;)
