Viewsonic 22" Widescreen is coming.....

Any idea if there are any other monitors that will be using the same panel and if there are any reviews out yet? I've got £300-350 to spend and I'm wondering whether I should get the VX2025, the Dell 2007WFP or wait for this.

Viewsonic VX

I not sure if this is silly question or not.
the VX range of TFT's can they cope with HiDef if DVD optical drives came out in HD mode ! ? :(

Would i also be able to hook my PC ( AMD XP300+ CPU, gainward 6800GT GPU, ASUS MoBo, 2GB corsair XMS) if i brought a 37'' or 42'' LCD HD ready TV, say a Panasonic or Pioneer TV's
So i play games on my large TV screen, as my PC is not far from my lounge, few extion cables will get things hook up.

Dot pitch will be very similiar to a 19" 4:3 monitor running at 1280x1024.

Doesn't seem like its worth getting then. There seems to be a trend in monitors of bigger physical panels with the same resolution which means the image quality will be lower than a smaller panel. Its the reason I went for a 17" over a 19".

HI all, first post so be gentle. I am looking at a larger monitor and this Viewsonic 22" (or maybe if funds stretch to a 24") as took my fancy. Now not knowing any of the techy stuff will my pc spec be enough to handle the res of this monitor, which would be mainly for general pc work, music DVD/downloaded video playing, tv watching (Sky input) and odd gaming (mainly the kids).

PC spec is as follows:
Pentium 4, 3.00Ghz
1Gb of Ram
Medion 9800XXL 128 MB graphics card (now with a Zalman Cooler).
All help greatly appriciated.

I'll be looking at this as a replacement TV for my living room as my trusty Goodmans 21" CRT got zapped during the fun lightning storm a couple of months ago (strangely still accepts UHF signal  ).

The Acer model looks a lot more appealing though along with HDCP.
