US: Vikings - anyone else watching this ?

Just started watching this after seeing Katheryn Winnick in Person Of Interest. Looks pretty good so far, and it's nice to have a show to look forward to again.

Floki used to be cool, but the guy's gone full loony on the fundamentalist shizzle.

Yea I liked him at first then he just comes across as a **** after a few episodes

In mythology, and in the study of folklore and religion, a trickster is a god, goddess, spirit, man, woman, or anthropomorphic animal who exhibits a great degree of intellect or secret knowledge and uses it to play tricks or otherwise disobey normal rules and conventional behaviour

Loki the god was a trickster ? so I guess it makes sense for him to be a ****

yea I know it's floki I'm not saying I think he's a god but it seems to be what the writers were going for a trickster character and his name just happens to contain "loki"

That grin Ragnar has whatever is happening is kinda creepy. If I was fighting him and he had that type of grin, I think I'd just kill myself to get it over with.

This show delivers feels like only few weeks ago I was saying the action felt bit low and this season off to a bang !

I do think that Floki is also being used as an important tool to demonstrate how Ragnar has outgrown the ways of his younger self and see's the world as much a broader picture than his peers and is adapting accordingly, Ragnar is no longer a farmer who goes viking he is now a statesman and equal of Kings.

I'd have thought that in Season 1, but ever since then he seemed to be several steps of everyone else with his planning, so I don't trust him anymore :p
