Indeed, it's all about the journey!! In other news the lynx I was working on, the first rough one...



All works perfect now. But I can't work miracles on the shell so I'll get to modding the nice one and that will be more exciting.

Full power circuit rebuild, new port, new diodes, new lense. Just how we like it!

OK gents day 1 auction just passed, sadly I had to attend a work event so couldn't be there but I sent wifey along with a list, some guide prices and told her to have at it... She got 4 of 9 lots including a CIB Nes, A Atari VCS 2600 (6 switch), an 80's packman handheld and some other bits. Going myself tomorrow, day two is stacked with so much stuff for me so ill get the pics flowing when I get back tomorrow :)

Nice pickups, especially that CIB Nes lurking in the background! I still have my DC. Yellowed and completely stock. I saw R6 was doing colours shells now but the price was quite steep. He runs some discounts every now and again.

Hows that Iron @Vince now you had it for a bit? Recommend it?

Iron is still working amazingly. Absolutely no complaints love it.

Yea the nes snuck in there, I probably spent a bit more than I wanted to but it's good CIB stuff that you just don't come across at the prices I paid so you gotta pull the trigger and roll with it :D
 
I'll do my everything all in one shot that I normally do after auction day! But to keep you going... mystery atari box and skylanders box (skylanders were like £5 and given I've sold probably thousands of the things I couldn't resist)





There is also a mint, CIB ds system in the background.

I was wondering a few things 1) does this 2600 work? 2) what does a 2600 look like on a modern smart TV if it does work.

Answered both questions...



Genuinely it has no business looking as good as it does. This is just tuned directly into rf.

But all this 2600 stuff absolutely stinks. Proper grim, smells like ghandis flip flop in here.

OK so full haul minus skylanders...



There were many lots I wanted but went for way too many pennies!! I'll save the bank balance this time but would have loved some of the other stuff as well. Happy enough with this haul though. Some good stuff to play with and fix for sure.
