thanks Hamster, i did some digging 50Mb has a 3mb upload so although 10mb is a bit crap as you say, it's a lot more than 3mb.
cheers

Just ordered the Homeworks+ (traffic management is killing me). As stated £14 extra plus £10 'activation' for the SH3. I was originally told the upload is 20% of download (i.e. 60Mb) it obviously isn't so pushed them harder and was then told 10% (30Mb). Just very poor customer services but what I have come to experience from their out sourced service centres.
10Mbit upload on the 200Mbit package. Bit crap really - imo should be at least double that. I get 9ms local ping if that help too![]()
it's 12Mb![]()
Can somebody on the Homeworks+ please confirm there is no traffic management?
What are the correct settings for a cable router when using the Hub in modem mode?
Im swapping routers atm and It's not working when i set it up as Dynamic IP, It gets an address of 192.168.100.10, but no internet connection.
On the current router, an asus, i have it set up as PPPoe without a username and password, and it connects, but pulls through a WAN ip on the 84. range.
Anyone know how it should be connected?
What router? It should be dynamic IP, but it's easier to connect it up, power everything down, then switch on modem, router, and PC in that order. Otherwise you're trying to drop all the IPs and request new ones back in the right order.
If your area does up to 200mb then you should be able to get Homework+ 300MbI'm currently in an area that has up to 200meg. If I get the homeworks package, will i get 300meg or do i need to wait?

Does anyone know why Ookla speed test on my laptop always gives me low results around 20 to 30MB?It has shown me my true speed of 108MB before but not anymore.
Thinkbroadband gives me 108MB and I know that's my true speed because I've seen it with usenet downloads. And Ookla app on my phone also gives me 108MB, using the same local test server (Brentford) on both phone and laptop.
