Find out what the nearest priced package is for new customers (after the introductory offer) and then contact them via webchat to complain that you're paying x amount more for an inferior service and that you feel ripped off and are considering moving to Sky. Full House bundle is £70 a month after the first year for new customers and that's better than what you have, you might be charged £50 installation fee but you'll save money in the long run and have a better service.

I went through it recently myself, paying extortionate amount for a service that was inferior to new customers. If you just continue on the same package for years through all of the price increases you end up getting ripped off.

Seems to have been the case...my parents I guess never really looked into it. Also would it be something I can sort over the Web Chat....REALLY hate the last phone experience I had with them!

Of course...in very typical VM tradition, Live Chat is not working.

If you had a good joining package years back you are on the "grandfather rights" in that even though that package does not exist now for new peeps you still retain it and when prices come down for BB compared to say 10-15 years ago etc. the overall prices of packages goes up so you end up paying a LOT more than others.

I have sorted that out for a few family members and friends in either halving their bills or upgrading for about same or slightly less to a better service, somehad the old 1st digital boxes still in their home.

Yes, they have this Silver box..no HDMI..jsut scart...no recording features etc.

Noiw, being parents...im not interested in trying ot change the box..cause..well....old people...technology...they wont "get it", simply wanting to decrease the bill.

Also, no "joining" package that im aware of..simply swapped over with VM bought over NTL.

Well not cached, please look at your Config, did you notice a HUB reboot?

Yes look in HUB settings for your Config file that gives you the DL/UL speed you Sub to.

If in Router Mode I think you can see it without logging in.

You still need to see Config as it cannot go that fast if you have a 100Mb/s Config that will be set to about 110Mb/s for overheads/contention and VM would have to reboot your HUB to give it a faster Config.

I am curious if you are in a testing area.

That is only approx 115Mb/s so no clue how it can go faster unless VM do something at their end I do not know about.

When I was testing the Gamer crap package (now EOL) we had to get new Config to get faster UL speed.
