At least someone's happy with their connection :)

Well is seems Giganews have enabled SSL on there Platinum accounts, tried enabling SSL on this account and it works great on Port 443, but 563 still throttled to hell and back.

Max Concatenated Burst : 8160 bytes

Picture of my dowload speed tonight...after half an hour or so download dropped to 1000kish, changed port from 443 to 563 and back to full speed...but for how long

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

well i have the XL package,20mb....its not bad,i usualy get around 18mbps according to speedtest,But the upload is utter crap....takes foreever to upload something :/

Astraweb is being throttled to hell for me, on port 443 anyway. I was struggling to get 800kb/sec :/

Changed to port 563 and I'm back up to 6mb/sec.

Won't be long before they start shaping port 563 though I bet

How do they throttle port 443 without affecting non p2p/usenet stuff? As port 563 is the port used for SSL on usenet, so can be throttled easily, where as 443 is HTTPS so does that mean all HTTPS stuff is throttled just like connecting to a usenet server on port 443 is?

They are blocking port 8095(web) and port 21(FTP) as well. Also I tried to use Microsoft download manager but only got 866K.

Can't say I've got any issues with my line... I have had the ping problems some of you are reporting... they WILL GO AWAY within a few weeks. I suspect this has something to do with the network upgrades across the board. If you continue having issues, call an engineer as your signal strengths could have drifted.

Still no upload upgrade yet :(.
