hmm Im in Leicester too (LE2 area) and looks like they have upped the upload speed on my connection aswell:

I thought it was next year when they would be doing the upgrades, strange.

Good link to find your UBR + schedule: http://aj-services.com/vm_status_image/myubr.php

Also, quoting from a VM manager regarding "being planned":
Actually chances are that work's ongoing now - it's just that some areas need more doing than others before they can be certified as being ready for 100Mb. That can be down to work needing doing in the local headend (installing equipment, upgrading capacity, finding space in some cases!) or on the local access network etc.

Who understands Virgin rDNS?

I've had an unstable connection this morning and now it's settled down I have a 30mins DHCP allocation (instead of the usual 3 1/2 days) with a different IP. I've gone from cpc2-aztw24-2-0 to cpc8-aztw24-2-0.

What does the cpcx part signify? Is it the UBR card? I'm hoping they are doing work as a precursor to the upload upgrades.

Falkirk seems to be Upgraded Upload speed, but currently updn.co.uk and Speedtest are only reading my Download as 2.3mbps. The same day that Steam has every UT for £8 :(
