what's the difference?

According to the Visa website:
http://www.visaeurope.com/personal/choosing/thevisacardrange.jsp
Visa Electron is a card that requires all transactions to be electronically authorized – at both point-of-sale and Automated Teller Machine (ATM), or cashpoint.

Not sure why people say electron is ****,
electron = rubbish and only accepted in limited places
That actually sounds like a bad thing tbh. Not sure why people say electron is ****, most places accept it and it's safer for the person spending money (no chance of a nasty bank charge if the money isn't in your account when you use it).
I use an Electron card for all my online purchases, I've never had anywhere refuse it once.
But that's the thing, very few places accept it, that's why it's ****
