Visited Curborough Sprint Course

Sounds terrible with the dump valve constantly going on/off as you can't decide on which pedal to press! Sorry! :(

That was my first run of the day and I was looking to see how much grip was available thus on and off throttle - I was not deciding which pedal to press ha. Once learned I wasn't like that on the throttle.
I admit, it sounds pap though constantly going off like that, on my next mapping I intend to blank it off completely. I like the noise day to day driving etc, but when giving it some it is constantly going off!

It may just be for his peace of mind? I wouldn't have though it would have a major effect on lap times if any.

Yup rev matching makes everything nicer on the engine, clutch, drivetrain etc, the balance of the car and other benefits. Does it make me faster? I could bet it doesn't! But it just feels better, more natural.

Surely there is a reason for it otherwise that would mean there is no point to heel and toe. If you are just dumping down the gears without rev matching you can cause the wheels to lock, especially for a rwd car.

Nice vids though, looks like a good day of fun!

Ive lost grip down shifting in my S2000 with out rev matching.

Sorry to bring this thread back up. I finally got round to taking the tyres that I had on those wheels off, and I think this short clip shows just how bad the sidewall flex is. FWIW on my new semi slicks, I can barely move the sidewall...
