Vista Beta 2 Goes Public Today

It's the same version as the MSDN version, so it's fully working, will be active for a full year after you install it or not after 30th April 2007 (IIRC - to stop you from constantly 're-using' it year after year! :p)

Same as Windows XP, it'll auto-update if you allow it, and I've had my version about 2 weeks and already it's had 2 small updates.

Doubt you'll be seeing the download till around 2am though, and I'd seriously recommend you try the "Upgrade Advisor" tool to ensure you're system is compatible. We've 2 PC's here in the office which will NOT run the software at all, and they're of a 'moderate' spec (512Mb RAM, 2.1Ghz Processor, 128Mb GC).

arf! giv download!
The last time I installed an MS Beta (win2k) - it's partitioner trashed my Maxtor HD because of a maxtor ide incompatibility bug. Although that was years ago, I can't wait for this beta.

Download page is up now but damn, the file isn't downloading becaus eit cannot be found in the DL manager! must need more time

I don't see on that page where to get a serial key to install it, do we not need one for this?
