*** VISTA SP1 (now with proper Microsoft.com download links!!!) ***

Story on the Register claims that Amazon are telling their customers from the 18th which is tomorrow. Of course it could all be a load of rubbish.
 
It's not on there for me either :( perhaps it's because I'm already on SP1? WTF? :p
 
Most of my updates are available for download in the evening, possibly because of the US time difference(?). So my guess would be that itll be out sometime this evening if it actually is released today.
 
Exactly, only weird thing is that i'm running Ultimate, and i upgraded to the official SP1 from a torrent, and now i can't install language packs. I don't really but my brother uses the computer and he would like to use the danish pack. Does anyone know if they're updating those or?
 
They have already said they are updating them but they said its going to take them some time to go through all the languages updating them.
 
Stepped release. Could you imagine a synchronised global release to millions and millions or users, all accessing the update servers?
