Quite a bit faster - but it takes a week or two for you to realise because it has to rebuild all your Superfetch cache. Superfetch is much improved and no longer noticably "chuggs" the hard drive.
I copied a 7gb folder before the update and the speed was fluctuating between 9mb/s and 12mb/s. After the update it has become a little more consistant at 9-10mb/s. I don't really know how long it actually took each time though.
Oh, and Crysis still lags
Tbh, my computer is quite high-end, so I'm not sure I'll really notice much of a difference (menus already used to pop up instantly).
I'm on 32bit Home Premium and SP1 has just become available on auto update. My download is 66mb, but I expect I'll download the full SP at some point to store on a CD for the future.
It doesn't take much to get people worried around here does it? SP1 has just tidied up the way it displays the amount of memory slightly, nothing's actually changed.
