Well it's here...I think!

Take a look on your Windows Update. No patches, no registery hacks.

Everyone I've spoken to can see this and is downloading it. I have not seen any official release from Microsoft...maybe someone knows something?

not got it on update here, just checked, but I have home premium not ultimate, perhaps that's making a difference.
 
Are there any smaller updates available? These will all need to be installed before SP1 shows itself.
 
It does not show for me on Home Premium. I have a fully patched system and I have not bothered with any pre releases of the SP.

Ah, KB937287 was a dodgy one. I didn't get an eternal cycle of reboots, but everytime I installed and then searched Windows Update again it would reappear and want to be installed again. I installed it a total of 7 consecutive times, one of which was this morning, before SP1 appeared.

My guess is that you would need this update before you're gonna get SP1 :(
Seems strange that it has apparently been 'pulled' though as I downloaded it just this morning.

Just checked my laptop and the above update was installed 16/02/08.

Just asked for an update and come back all upto date.

i have it too... installed yesterday... so if microsoft remove it why was it there yesterday??? or maybe microsoft have fixed it

I have KB937287 installed without any problems but still don't get SP1
 
I've got Windows Vista Ultimate x64... No SP1

All I got is a letter from TechNet (which I'm not in) that I can log in to get it because no one else can get it yet!
 
Mine is saying SP1 available on Windows Update,I have Vista x64 HP btw,size of install is 121.5mb ,45% done ,I'll confirm its official SP1 after it has finished installing.
 
Just went to check for new updates on my Vista Ultimate 64 and it says SP1 is available. So it looks like i'll download it later this evening. I am really waiting for the download version of it then I can do a full reinstall as I am in desperate need of doing so!

same here, i got 937287 and checked for updates just now and i got nothing. running ultimate x86 oem if it makes any difference.

i'd rather wait and get the "offline" install than get it through windows update tbh.
