***VISTA SP1 RELEASED TO GENERAL PUBLIC***

I have the update on Windows Update too, however i right clicked on it and chose details and got this description...

Does this mean they've released a beta by accident or is it safe to download? :confused:
 
Perhaps the description is out of date, as i would imagine the Title of the download would be Windows Vista SP1 RC1 (Beta) or something usually if it was still beta? :confused:
 
How do I open that About Windows from the system page? I did the registry hack yesterday so I want to see what build it is and if its the same as the one posted in here.
 
All working here...WU without the hack.

Windows will finally let me overclock my CPU. :)
 
Have had Vista Business Enterprise x64 with SP1 (integrated) installed for 3 days or so off MS Volume licensing.

Very nice and stable. Unfortunately network transfers are still ridiculously slow. A shame, as everything else about the OS is nice and "punchy".

(e2140 @ 2.8ghz, 2gig ram)

(As an aside, why the hell hasn't MS released an official adminpak for vista?)
 
yep mines downloading at the moment :) first attempt to search for more updates drew a timeout from the server, so they must be under a lot of strain.
 
Checked for updates once, nothing appeared. Did another check, and bingo its there and downloading right now ;).
