Vodafone Smart Ultra 6

Well when you consider 98% of android devices have yet to get Lollipop the chances of a minority phone like the Ultra getting Marshmallow are pretty slim in the extreme don't you think

You have a point but showing stats that are a year old is rather funny.

More recent:

LP is more like over 20% now.

Fair point,I didn't search too deep for the stats.
Having said that how long has Lollipop been out ? 12 months ? ...and still only 20% of the market.

Blame the OEM's. At the end of the day, you can't ask for much paying this sort of money.

If you want fast updates...the Nexus line is the only way to go.

Why does everyone want updates? So you know your phone has the latest software?

I'm really happy with my phone and the only reason I want it updating is so I know its got the latest software and no other reason.

I would like root but I just can't do it. Kingroot and mobilego don't work. Or says it works but then doesn't :-/

Full reset has solved my camera issue, but had a major head ache after with me Moto360 dropping connection so reset again, and still the same issue, then it magically fixed it self.

You guys worry to much :-)

What could a hacker do that could really hurt you?

IF they got your bank details and took all your money you get it back. Yeah its a hastle but its no big deal. Personally I don't have no worries about stuf like that.

Trust me all the numbers off your credit card then to prove a point :-)

I agree. There's all this talk about vulnerabilities, but has anyone ever seen a story about having their phone hacked? All this news about stage-fright, any one story about it being used successfully?

No Steve, I don't think it works like that, but his phone is vulnerable, just hack him surely? Apparently its real easy...

Not a chance we'll get 6.0
Don't be such a debbie downer :) SU6 is sold as a business device too and there are a few more security features that need to go into the device for some of our bigger customers to consider it so internally there is likely a decent business case for doing the 6 upgrade with the extra fluff. It's also the handset you get if you start here now so there is more internal drive to do more with it :)

Well after just over a week of getting one of these for my daughter the digitiser has a dead spot, looks like its going back for replacement. Guess you get what you pay for!

You're getting a lot more than you paid for with this phone.
Any display can have a dead pixel.

Screen is fine, digitiser has developed a dead spot. Hopefully the vodafone will make swapping it nice and easy...

Had that happen to me with a number of high end phones. Just one of those things regards if the phone is cheap or expensive.
