I'd like to see a reverse of this and be for us to be granted the right to spread asbestos over peoples clothes whenever we wanted.

If you want air quality, you have to seek it - a smoking ban wont change this

I spend an hour in a pub and I stink when I return.
I rarely gag on car exhaust fumes but walking into some pubs almost makes me want to.
Cars aren't going to be banned because they could never get away with doing it.
You can get away with banning cigarettes though, so they have.
Simple.

Oh wait, it’s the £9.3bn in revenue they collect compared to the £1.5bn they spend in smoking related diseases, nice little profit there.

cleanbluesky said:The problem has been this bad yet you have had to wait for the government to bring out legislation for you to find a solution?
Balddog said:We are talking about legislation arent we?

(I would also change your brand of coffee)
UOcUK Poopscoop said:Entirely true, but at least it will be more actual smokers that die (don't mean that in a bad way) than those who just inhale it involuntarily.
If you smoke you are accepting the risk.
I don't smoke, so why should I?
cleanbluesky said:You were detailing how bad an experience entering pubs has been for you, you seem happy that the legislation is going to solve your problem - I'm just curious why the situation has been so bad for so long but you haven't found a solution...
Is it because you didn't care about it that much really?
If anything they will probably legalise other drugs and tax the crap out of them.wolvotim said:I really think they should make tobacco illegal if they want to put their money where they mouth is.
It might help me quit then
