Did you not get my trust Willhub? There was a code you could have used to get 50p off.

Why does them being UK based and having a no log policy raise eyebrows? All legitimate VPN providers offer a no log policy. Genuine interest rather than anything malicious in my question.

Oh dear not sure if I did I rarely check my emails, I could always cancel and set it up next month I guess but thanks anyway :)

Being UK based means the UK authority can get court orders to obtain information from the VPN supplier. It's happened before in the US and it's highly likely in the UK too. Do you trust they keep no logs, what about your payment information etc etc
It doesn't really make a difference for most people but if you want better anonymity I'd look elsewhere.

Tempted to go with NordVPN, everyone thats got it here use it?
Im pretty clueless on VPN's, will my traffic going through it slow my connection down at all?

You will get some slowdown. Depends on a number of factors. Which server you connect to, time of day, your current speed.
My 200mb Virgin can drop to about 100 or less on some servers but on others I can get near the maximum.

It depends on how you use the VPN. I take it you'll be using your PC to connect so you shouldn't notice anything too erroneous. If you were connecting your router to then VPN there will be a pretty big difference in speed unless you have a very advanced router eg My basic speed with Virgin is 500mb/s (Don't ask!!) yet when I connect my router to NordVPN it drops to 100mb/s.

There will still be a noticeable slowdown unless the router is a bit special or your broadband connection is really slow.

I currently connect to 38 companys using draytek routers and the speed is amazing... some others we use kerio VPN some others we use Fortinite client.

But yes some standard router from Sky or BT wouldn't cut it.

A few months ago I was researching VPN clients to purchase and things were pointing me towards ExpressVPN - but now I see most of you guys use NordVPN.

Anyone know of ExpressVPN, is Nord bettter?

I use NordVPN, no complaints. I have client apps on all my PCs so that users can connect and disconnect as they want. I have a permanent connection set up as a gateway on my router so that I can permanently connect certain devices. I also have a permanent connection via a docker on my server that acts as a proxy for other dockers.
