Is there a secure free VPN that I can use for an hour?

I'm abroad and want to book IMAX tickets but the stupid Cineworld website/app doesn't work unless you are in the UK, so I need to spoof my location. I found free one using Google search but wouldn't be happy carrying out a financial transaction with it.

Did you get sorted? If you're on a laptop (as opposed to a phone) I can spin up a BSD virtual machine and give you a temporary non-privileged SSH login to my network. That'll give you a UK Virgin Media IP address through your browser if you want?

ETA: Or easier yet - for both of us - just get a free trial with a trusted VPN company? CactusVPN do a free trial that only needs a (throw-away) email address to get you unlimited access to their network for a few days.

Have been looking for VPNs for a while now, between PIA and Nord. I am on Virgin 200, based on some of the comments here seems like both are hit and miss and pot of luck type of an affair! Have to try and see I guess but even at that some comments I have seen elsewhere implies it works a treat for the trial period but not so much after the trial.
Confused!

Can only comment on my own experience but NordVPN is excellent for me and can easily saturate my Virgin 200 connection. Works a treat on mobile and tablet as well via the app.

I just used Nord for iPlayer last night and it worked fine.

I used it just now to watch the Spain Russia game. About an hour ago I had to restart my PC, then why I tried again it wouldn't work. All of the UK servers I tried were getting blocked by Iplayer.

If it's me then I'm not sure why.

Well, I've been using PureVPN via SocialStack lifetime for over 2 years now.

I feel okay with it i know i don't get any ip/dns leaks which is good. but mainly find their software for windows/ios(iPhone) poor. Since last week uninstalled the software off my windows pc last week as it kept disconnecting and had issues with Cashe and just using the chrome extension now but ideally id like to be connected all the time still yet to figure out how to load it all into windows 10 or if that's any better than using the software.

Still, keep looking at others to go to and do miss CyberGhost from time to time.
