@Stumble Bum I am sorely tempted. They have a "Black Friday" Sale on currently for £78.03 for 27 months. TCB gives back 76.5% so the cost is around £18.50 for 27 months or about 68p/month.

Just a quick question. Do you do online gaming. Kids do this and I indulge too so wondering about the ping, jitter etc and if we set, for example, USA does this affect server locations? Also, things like Netflix as this connects through either VM hub or TV and these in turn connect through the Cudt routers above which in turn connect to the VM5 router in modem mode.
Do I need to set it up on the router or is it merely browser based. There are advantages and disadvantages to both.

I just use it as an extension in my browser. Whenever I need to view an age-restricted website, I just click the button in the top right of my browser, then click on the netherlands flag as my go-to country and that's it. I'm now appearing from the Netherlands pretty much instantly. Works on my android phone too as an app. Click the disconnect button and i'm back appearing from my usual UK i.P.

I can't speak for ping for gaming and using a vpn as I just use it for websites.

Some companies really take the **** with auto renewals. My subscription to Nord runs out next month, I paid around £60 ish for a standard 2 year subscription, they now want £133 for one year on renewal :D When i go to all plans I can get another 2 years for just under £70. I hate predatory auto renewals like that.

Each year my Windscribe auto renews, with prior notice, I get this...

Plan
Cheapest Almost Ever

Renewal or Expiry Date
2027-03-01

it renews at the price I got it for, less than £15 for a year.

If you want to stick with Nord then just make a new account and use the 98% topcashback offer.

Also worth mentioning, if you get the free tier, use that, they will generally send out a code for going the pro route. I think I'm about £24 lifetime renewal.

I have Windscribe VPN on my phone & desktop. I've noticed it's really slow on my WiFi (EE fibre) and I have to change servers often or it gets bogged down. Then it's not so bad for 10-15 mins then I need to swap again.

It's fine on my 5g so I guess there's some router setting that's not playing ball. Anyone have any ideas?

I mean, $29 is £21.42 as of today, it's hardly life changing, but it's as low as the BF deal was, and probably about as cheap as it's going to get going forward.

If you want to save a few quid then you can get 2 years of ProtonVPN for around £38 (£19/year) if you sign up while connected to Brazil with a different VPN/proxy.
