VR for Star Wars Squadrons

Anyone recommend some settings to run this on Quest 2 with a 2070 Super. Auto gets choppy when there’s a lot on screen. Seems run a mix of low and, oddly, ultra. Must be some settings to keep the frame rate locked at 90?

Got it running reasonably smoothly. When a crap ton hits the screen it can judder, but for most of the time it remains 90 fps. Surprisingly not vomit-inducing either. Bargain for £10.99 even though I had already bought it for XsX.

If I'm right (and probably not) the voucher can be used on any value of game, but you only generate a further voucher if you use it on something over £14.

No. The voucher can only be used on games that are £13.99 or more. And it can't be used on DLC or Pre-orders.

If the game is less than £13.99, the voucher doesn't work.

Really enjoying this.

Set up the controls like a typical flight sim, roll and pitch on the right, throttle and yaw on the left. Forward = down. Had nothing but flack from my two boys who refuse to accept it's a flight sim and should have flight controls. All games should control like Destiny or COD and Forward = up.

Can't get my el-cheapo Mad Catz stick I bought from CEX to work with this. Shame. Guess I'm stuck using a controller until the flight stick stock situation improves...

I need some help guys. I'm running 3080 and the quest 2. I've got it working but only in 75 MHz. If I push it to 80 or 90 and/ or increase the resolution in the quest settings it's unplayable. 1 frame a second. The GPU is sitting going up and down. All other games are fine. Any ideas?

Are you running Steam VR or Oculus API? Apparently Oculus works better.

The game seems to have some weird issues too where even on good hardware it runs badly.

Just tried gain 90mhz works ok it's just if I bump up the Res. In game it's the resolution scale VR setting set to 200%.

I'm thinking the oculas VR setting and the in games setting above are killing each other.

I've held off trying this in VR until my HOTAS arrives. Hopefully Amazon don't cancel delivery again; I don't really like using a game pad, my old stick isn't recognised by the game, and I'm itching to get started.

Also, set all the non-vr options to minimum. Unlike most other VR games the desktop window is rendered separately and is not a simple copy of the VR screen.

Wait on it mate.

The game is phenomenal with a HOTAS, worth every overpriced penny they go for these days with this game.

Finally got my X52 Pro.

Kinda wish I'd tried the game with a pad now. Would have been much easier to set up the stick if I understood the controls already! By default, there's stupid stuff like Yaw being set to the Y-Axis and Roll being set to the Z-Axis, and the button mapping doesn't make a huge amount of sense. Can't say my current layout is much better. But it's done :p

Blown away by the experience in VR. Okay, it's not the best looking VR game. And I can see where the grumbles are coming from re: background objects. But I've got a Ryzen 5 2600 and a 5700 XT. Performance via VD is great. I'd take this over the MSFS2020 situation, where my rig basically rides that fine line between the game being playable, and the game looking like ass.
