I thought 2 years was standard by law?
1 year is standard. Anything more is down to the manufacturer

Yea this will be good. It's looking super confusing at the moment. So looks like Dave2D is going to maintain a spreadsheet of all the 3000 series laptops and their wattage + a single benchmark.
Dave2D seems to just do short opinion pieces nowadays. He doesn’t review nearly as many laptops or in as much detail as Jarrod’s Tech does. Hopefully Dave2D also includes details from other reputable reviewers and not just the ones he tests.
Anyone unable to pre order on the store? I am from Ireland and it is not allowing me to buy the new Asus Strix Scar 17.
Tempted by the Razer Blade Pro 17, but cautious due to QC issues and Razer’s customer support.
ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 17 G733QS-XS98Q pre ordered.
I've ordered it from the states. Works out around 2800 delivered with all import feesNice spec. Enjoy.
Did you order that in the UK?
Didn’t know the Uk had that exact model/spec available.

Wow that's some serious money. Is there a 5800 and 3070 combo where you ordered from?
Yea gaming laptops are terrible value when compared against their desktop counterparts. If you absolutely need a laptop then you have no choice, otherwise for £2800 you could build a beast of a desktop that would leave the same priced laptop in the dust.
