Water is coming from behind the plug socket in the kitchen, what the hell?!
I have shut off power to the kitchen ring and the cooker. Should I shut off power to the whole flat?
Called the landlord but no answer.
I'm not sure this is the best place to come...Water is coming from behind the plug socket in the kitchen, what the hell?!

Jesus it's not a flood buddy!Lol madness! Yeh hit your stop **** and any fuses you think could be connected.
Keep calling your landlord but if still no answer then call out an emergency plumber and invoice your landlord.
Do you have any emergency cover with your insurance? I assume you just have contents covered which most likely means no.
Water can cause big problems. If you don't know where it's coming from or how bad it's leaking then best not risk it. Repairs can get costly if left.Jesus it's not a flood buddy!
Yea just funnel it into a bucket and pour it down the sink. Emergency plumber gets my vote too mind. If it's in the wall then you could have problems. Tiles etcWater can cause big problems. I'd thank my tenants for acting quickly when Water leaks are involved (depending how bad, obviously).

Really? How so?Clueless.
Turn the water off until someone can come and have a look. If it still leaks water then try and look for a valve to shut off any tanks higher up in the flat if it's a duplex or has a loft. Does someone else live above you?

OP has either drowned or been electrocuted.
RIP
Are there any other sockets that side of the wall?
Do the ceilings look wet/damp?
Any way of looking at the outside wall behind this socket - is there a noticable wet patch on the wall.
Do you have a neighbour below? Might be worth giving them a shout too as it's more than likely water will have dripped down below too.
They really need to unfilter the word for male chicken, common OCUK it has so many uses that are not considered offensive.......
Sounds like you've done your part. I'm guessing there is a leak from the flat above. Either a pipe, or someone's got a bit splashy with the bath. No, we are on the bottom floor. We went to the flat above but they are not aware of any issues, since the problem is inside the walls.
So this morning we contacted the landlord and management company, as well as the owners of the flat above. They were rightly concerned and will be sending people round today to have a look.
This was quite concerning and I did lose some sleep over it. When you call the landlord at 10pm for an emergency and both him and the "out of hours" number you phone for the managing agent don't pick up, you feel very stuck.
