**WANT 8GB 2400MHz FOR AS LITTLE AS £59.99 Inc. VAT? - THEN CHECK THIS THREAD OUT!!** (MV-3V4G3D/US)

no problem :)
haven't messed around with this stuff before so just wanted to check it wasn't anything obvious. I will put the initial success down to beginners luck.
Thanks

My VTT is 1.050V (UP4 TH) for 2133 CL9-10-10-24 1T, pretty tasty at 1.5v :D

Update: Memtest86 stable 2133 CL9-11-11-21 1T 1.5V. Does not like 9-10-10-21.

Can;t for the life of me get these stable above 2133. 1.2 VCCIO voltage too.

i3570k at 4.5GHz

8GB running at 2133 9-10-10-24 1T 1.55v

Could probably lower voltage but haven't tried yet. 2200 won't boot at 11-11-11-28 2T, same volts and I get error 23 on my Formula V

Any ideas?

Error 23 means the CPU IMC cant reach the frequency.

If thats the case thats the worsed IMC on IVY ever.

When your clocking RAM to get it stable you dont run a CPU clock when testing CPU should be default.

Reset Bios, Load medium Samsung profile from the memory profile section. Set main timings 9-11-11-25 1T, VCCIO 1.05 VCCSA 1.1, VTTDDR 0.775 and DRAM voltage 1.65v. at 2200mhz and 2400mhz this should be fine.

Tried that. Did as you said, reset CPU and received a 55 error on motherboard? Just kept looping through boot and never got to bios. That was at 2400mhz

Reset everything, loaded samsung memory medium, 2133 and your settings and it loaded.

Trust me to get a rubbish chip!

55 means it can reach that frequency but needs tuning. Have you tried those settings for 2200mhz ??? Try that divider??

Also for 2400mhz try as above but in DRAM CAS write latency put the value 8 and in DRAM CKE minmum pulse width put 6.

nope still no luck. Tried 2200 and even 2400 again with the above and I still get error 23 on boot up and system freezes :(

Ok lets try one more thing for 2200 -2400 mhz with no CPU overclock. You may well have the worsed IVY IMC in history!!! I have never seen one that wont do 2600mhz easy.

Try Cas 10, Tras 28, TWR 15, Latency Boundary plug in 14, Disable Fast Boot, all on memory page in bios. Also VCCIO 1.25v see if you get boot or what code????

2200 = Error 23 :(
2400 = Error 23

Reset button does nothing, have to hold down power and then power back on.

Even swapped ram around in slots and the same.

Setting the above but back to 2133 gives me error 55.

Resetting the whole lot and 2133 and it boots.

I will add that my chip also needs fairly high voltages, 4.5GHz needs at least 1.35v. Maybe I just have a rubbish chip?

Try into Bios high mhz profile see if you post at 2400mhz. Voltages as I suggested previously.

The CPU is looking like a serious pile to be honest. What batch is it??? I bet its Malay origin, only week 20 malay are any good the rest are poor.

First find top clock and then tune the timings for performance at those MHZ. Cas and command rate first then TRAS, then TRFC, then thirds and finally seconds.

Samsung like slopping up then flat timings so. 9-11-11 or 7-8-8 and they can do low tras such as 21.

Well I had 2133 10-10-10-28 1.4v for first two weeks since I got em and since I installed my new gpu cooler it became unstable and wouldn't boot, assumed it was something I did wrong putting my new gpu cooler on.

How does IMC and VTT work when trying to OC this memory? I've got my cpu @ 4.6Ghz and vtt/imc on auto/normal. Actually had IMC reduced to 0.725 since I thought it was just the igpu volts and never had any problems. Raising both of these volts doesn't seem to be able to get me back to my 2133mhz speeds/timings. I've even raised the dram to 1.65 (testing for 2400mhz with auto timings) and it wouldn't boot.

Anyone got any ideas how I can get this ram to boot on good/high settings/speeds? do you need to go into the secondary ram timings? that looks very confusing to me.
