Wardogs

Tried it solo yesterday and feels almost impossible to get going in.

Can't even buy armour or a red dot so feel like a sitting duck. All that basic stuff should be available straight away so you can get on and actually try the game.

So will be a no buy from me if unlocking stuff is so slow. Don't need a second job when I just want to play a game
You can buy armour from the get go. Albeit it’s only the basic one.

Played for 10 hours and still not sure if I like it or not, some matches are good, others not so much. The gameplay has no flow to it..

Will probably refund it for now.

So finally got the game working. Only played a couple of rounds so far but I'm liking what I've played. Not sure if its because its towards the end of the beta so players know what they are doing more or I've just been lucky, but team play seems to be thing in this. Players buy vehicles and wait for other players to get in at spawn, if I've died near players i'm often revived. Played some BF6 this week whilst its been free to play and Wardogs have been much more enjoyable, even in its early state.

9 hours in so far.

I like it, but do I like it enough to pay £36 for it? I'm not so sure.

I think due to the 100 players being split across three teams, you end up more having small skirmishes against other squads than it feeling like a big battle. It also does feel kind of shallow, for lack of a better work? The dopamine hit for winning a game doesn't seem very high compared to something like PUBG or winning a really good gun fight on Tarkov? I know they're different games but just trying to compare the feeling of accomplishment if that makes sense?

If I didn't have 6 weeks off work I'd more than likely refund I imagine and I doubt I'd want to give up limited gaming time for it.

Have been playing solo this afternoon and sniping which has been fun to cause chaos at enemy FOBs.

Will play some more tonight with friends before I decide about refunding and waiting for the game to mature a little more.

100% you NEED to play this in a squad with mates and comms.

Solo is brutal - so hard to do anything.

Ended up in a squad with 3 other lads on discord last night and literally changed the game for me. So much fun, so much fighting, stealing FOB's, blowing stuff up etc. Was totally game changing. Made so much money between us all.

I was on the fence early doors with this but will certainly be keeping it. Look forward to next play test.

Is there another test planned before release?

Don't think so no....

10 hours for me over the weekend and a real refreshing fun feel to it..... Look forward to more when it launches.

My only concern is how they are going to keep the economy in check.... People will smash it early, get huge cash balances etc and then basically max gear/tanks etc etc - how they slow that down or balance that will be interesting to see.

Resets every 2 month I’ve read?

Could end up like one of those games which feels like a job, where heaven forbid you spend a week not playing it and find that everyone now has $400,000 more in their bank than you.
