Wardogs

That's a decent shout - needs some kind of reset.
Games need to find a better way to do it than resets, every game that I can think of which has a reset, losses a chunk of its playerbase each reset as theres always a portion of players who look at it and just say "nah, I cant be arsed doing all that again". Not sure what the solution is but companies need to come up with something better than wipes.

Tarkov has this quite nice, from a new player.

They've got PvP/PvE modes without resets, and then an additional seasonal PvP mode. Seems to work nice from my first ~40 hours played, you can tell the difference between people in seasonal and permanent.

You gain money at such a rate that I don’t think it will matter that much tbh.

I was getting $10k+ profit every life using a basic $5k loadout.

That in itself is surely an issue though, if the money (which is essentially the crux of the game progression) is that meaningless?

I don’t think so, I only profited every game because I didn’t give up and respawn unless I absolutely had to/had no one near by.

Also, I’m sure they don’t want people scrapping for cash too much as I imagine most people wouldn’t have the attention span to spend life’s dropping with nothing/just a pistol and picking up a dropped kit, or doing the support roles.

The progression is also locked behind levels as well, and from the play test the levelling up seems relatively slow, in the hours u played I got assault to level 9, recon to level 9 and medic to level 5, total wardog level to around 30?

The big decider for me is how often content will be dropping, they’re going to need to keep dropping new weapons, vehicles and gear in general relatively frequently or I can see the numbers dying off quickly.

I’m not going to refund as have a squad of friends who are going to keep it and play on release, if I was going to be relying on the solo experience I’d probably refund.

Yeah its not one for me, at least not currently, I just dont have time for it due to there being an insane number of releases between now and the start of 2027. It needed to absolutely knock it out of the park on the test weekend for it to push some of those other titles aside and it just felt average to me rather than park knockingly good. I might take another look at it in q1 or q2 of 2027 if its still going.

Yeah totally understand that!

I do agree it definitely didn’t blow me away, but I’m playing nothing at the moment with nothing exciting on the horizon, so think I’ll stick some hours into it.

Hopefully they release a few more maps, played two over the weekend that felt exactly the same, would love a busier urban style map to combat all the snipers.

Don't expect any new content for as long as the game is in EA. It's stated by the devs themselves here:

Starts at 1:50

Firing range live now and servers up tomorrow!

I've been messing around in helis in the firing range, the assists in the settings make it feel so sluggish and swampy!

I only played two rounds last time and refunded it as I didn't have time. Do you think I can buy the game and get refund? (In case I don't like it)...
