Warhammer Total War Confirmed

Well I own the full south east of the map totalling 4 provinces after a few huge victories (turn 68 now) moving into the Badlands but, irritatingly, the dwarf faction to the west who i propped up early now own most of it and are seemingly uninterested in forming a confederacy.

Will probably end up ignoring them and saving Zhufbar who have been hammered by the Vamps, when my forces are in place I'll try and convince Zhufbar to confederate then steam full belt into the Vamps!

Turn 196 as the Vampire Counts now.

The Dwarves have 1 city left, Chaos has been obliterated and Empire is fairly pinned in. This is going to come down to a fight between me and the Orcs

They change their tune in a bit ;)
Once I'd whacked most of the greenskins they all joined, there's only 1 hold out faction right up in the north west that won't have it.
Also - zhufbar does ok. The AI seems better at spotting incoming stacks than I was :D saves a lot of destroyed cities you have to re-colonise.

Useful tips (in general): trade agreements, trade agreements everywhere. Not ALL ruins can't be re-made, if it was once a city you could take, it can be brought back (attack and re-colonise).

I can't get trade agreements with anyone, what do I need to get them?

Not that they won't accept, I simply don't have the option.

I couldn't see the option to broker a trade agreement either, but I think it depends on whether you have a territory bordering theirs so as to provide an accessible trade route.

With the western dwarves my territory has abutted theirs since the start but never had an option. I have a trade route with Zhufbar in the north but never had an option with anyone else.

Then I am not sure... all trade deals either already existed at the start of the game or were offered to me by the other factions *shrugs*

playing as dwarves.

trade opens up between turn 90-100. I had a single trade agreement until then.

you need to be on friendly terms and also see their capital on the map to trade. you need a mutual peace agreement first. the agreements the other party will sign up to are highlighted in green on the diplomacy screen.

i would focus on wiping out the orcs to the south first. bottom clench as the chaos units arrive. wipe those two 20 unit armies out then head north and send engineer or thane west and north west as your main armies push north through into vampire country.

anyone got a good army composition for dwarves with all unit unlocks ?

was not expecting so many types of units !

Just finished the Orcs and you are right, having territory on the river trade opened up with about 4 factions instantly, though none would actually agree to a deal with me haha.

Zhufbar aren't my mates, which is probably fair play as for the past 15-20 turns I have been signing peace with the Vamps to get money off them, then re-declaring war to get money off Zhufbar :p

Nice little earner but I doubt they will confederate with me anytime soon :p

So frustrating when enemy has 8-10 agents doing actions against you each turn :). Some of them level 30. When I try and use one of my agents against them the options are greyed out as they have no chance :).
