Warhammer Total War Confirmed

£12.59!?!?!? For what is basically a glorified unit pack that usually only cost a few quid and even then that is pushing it. I see games workshop are having a big influence here. I will wait until they are hugely reduced tbh.

So if you want to play them you cannot actually do so on the primary grand campaign if I read that right? Just a smaller campaign setting for them?

If that's the direction they are taking additional races (let's face it, wood elves will struggle to fit on the current map) I would be hugely disappointed.

Perhaps I just misread though.

Looking to get into this as I like the Warhammer lore but Ive never played Total War before. I bought the game and played the greenskin tutorial battle but felt that control was getting away from me. Anyone have any tips for a noobie?

You can pause the game and still look around/give orders. Useful if too much is happening for you to follow. Unless you are on the hardest difficulty I think. Which as a noobie, you probably aren't? :)

How gpu and cpu demanding is this game?

Compared to Total war Rome 2 for example

It's similar, although it runs better for me than Rome 2 did. In big battles with 4 full armies it can chug a bit even on an overclocked i7 and 980ti. That's with everything at the max settings at 1440p though.

Really debating getting this. I have every other total war game to date. Is it definitely worth it?

Was going to wait for it to go on sale but doesn't look like it will.
