Warhorse Studios with.. Kingdom Come: Deliverance (Now with a Kickstarter)

As long as they still approach it as a PC game that has console ports, it should be fine. As they've dedicated a lot of time to a realistic approach so far, I'm not really too worried about any impact that will have on the PC version, to be honest.

I'm not usually that bothered by graphics, but that looks amazing!

I will probably just enjoy walking around taking all the scenery in :D

Disappointing, I had kickstarter starred to remind me with 48hrs to go but they never sent me an email :-(

They will open very soon their own shop with paypal and amazon payments available, the access to alpha/beta will be available just like on kickstarter, most rewards should be the same for same prices.

Got wind of this from a fellow gamer last night talking over some beers. Dead chuffed it's already got some funding, did a forum search before posting.

Looks great, has potential!

I love Chivalry, don't get me wrong, but I'm not entirely sure it's an example of a game with a great combat system. Gotta love those reverse-overheads. :p

I will be backing this game ASAP. :)

I just notice this comment as i have drunkenly read over a game im chuffing over, and i beg to differ, as i think chivalry has has many finer nuances (yes did cop y and paste "nuances" as im very drunk) to the combat. it's brilliant fighter (although i am crap at it) and is a brilliant combat game when you are good. the melee system stands c:mw.

I don't disagree that it takes some skill to be good at Chivalry, though personally I wouldn't call the combat system good, as for me that would require it not to rely on the kind of weird tactics that people pull off. A knight bending over backwards with a maul and launching an overhead, for example, is completely crazy. Likewise, starting an attack and pulling your mouse in the opposite direction to delay it is completely ridiculous, and the whole running in a figure of eight swinging a claymore constantly is a little silly, no? I have no issue with these things actually being used within the game, because they are intentional features (err, mostly - the instant hits and shaft hits are very much a problem) - indeed, I will drag the polehammer around all day long - but the fact that such things exist in the first place make it very hard for me to say that the combat system itself is good. :p

Anyways, I don't really want to derail the thread too much. I will say that I'm definitely hoping that Kingdom Come: Deliverance will offer something very realistic, though I understand that will likely be much easier to achieve due to it being a single player game.

Just came across this, and kicked myself for not noticing it earlier.

Have pre-ordered, graphically it looks pretty top notch :)
