... was it faked?

Well that's not very substantial evidence against the moon landing is it? :p

All the normal ones are far more convincing and they've all been debunked anyway.

Okay, fair enough...lol! :D

A while back George Bush said that the next date for going to the moon was set at the year 2018. My question is, why wait that long if technology is so advanced compared to the technology used for the first moon landing?

Sorry, I'm a non-believer!!
Er...

Distance to Moon: 382,500 km
Distance to Mars: 78,000,000 km

Yet another thing which could be answered with Google. But noooo, it's fun to debunk Man's achievements for one's own satisfaction

Can't say I got any satisfaction out of it really, certainly more pleasurable things in life. But if you get some satisfaction out of being sarcastic then you go right ahead

have you read any of the sites we posted?

The real issue for returning to the moon, is lack of money. back in the cold war days vast amounts of money could be poured into nasa, now is not the case. theres more important things to spend there budget on..

read some of *** websites, it might change you'r mind seeing as theres overwhelming proof..

The way I read it was, 2018 would be the first landing cos they have never been there before.

Dont take this the wrong way, but if you really dont believe it happened, your an easily led automoton.

People who think like tend to think that only Armstrong and Aldrin walked on the moon. If they were going to fake it, why send a further 6 spacecrafts there, it makes no sense.

Everyone saw the saturn 5 rockets leave the ground, this was the hardest part of the whole missions, actually building a rocket that is capable of that size that can leave the earth - its only few burns from lunar orbit.

Thousands of nasa employees, employees and McDonald Douglas, Grumman, Boeing, IBM and hundreds of other subcontractors were duped and have been lying for 40 years.

Ive met and talked to 2 men that walked on the moon, and a few more astronauts beside, they are very convincing liars if the whole thing was a hoax.

Saying we didnt go to the moon dosent make you a zany conspiracy theorist, it makes you an idiot. Theres proof aplently we went to the moon, theres no proof we didnt, ergo - we went to the moon.

Yeah, I have read sites in the past and as an individual thinker I concluded that there was a possibility that the moon landing was fake. Whether my view changes in the future is unknown. Meanwhile I will avoid posting on this thread because of the overwhelming amount of believers that think that even the mention of a fake moon landing is absurd :D

One reason why there is no stars in the photo's taken is cause, the moon has it day and night like the earth, and when the moon passes the sun, the stars get blanked out.

The are always stars in the sky weather it is day or night, you just can't see them as visible in the sky in the day due to sunlight making the sky appear blue and blocking out the stars light.

People in austrailia sees them before us, due to the sun out at that time, with the earth passing the dark side. If you point a telescope to a location of a very bright star, then you will see the star.

I'm glad to hear that.

I'll be as sarcastic as I like to people who won't believe the bleeding obvious, thankyou very much :)

That's because it is. Belittling the achievements of thousands of people for irrational reasons is beyond my comprehension. Sorry.

There are mirrors on the moon that you can reflect a laser beam from.

I guess Man must have gone there at some point unless mirrors grow on the Moon.

Does that mean you are sarcastic and impose your beliefs on everyone that doesn't think the same way as you? You must be popular :)

If everyone thought the same and there was no free thinkers in the world then the world would be a very boring place.

I would hate this to lead to a flame war so let's just call it quits and share the same board in peace and I'll move to another thread :D

There's free thinking and there's absurd thinking. Most of the disbelievers are conspiracy nuts and would happily believe in scientology, the illuminati, intelligent design, or whatever else the current fad is. Sorry, conspiracy nuts get on my nerves, and I feel an uncontrollable urge to do the same as Buzz Aldrin and punch their lights out.

"individual thinker" - does that translate as brainwashed tit in the current version of the English language?

So, you reckon the landings were faked. What about the rest of the Apollo story - the space flights, the science and samples we got from the moon, the near-disaster of Apollo 13? That all faked as well? Or is there just a slight chance that the hoax theories are nothing more than a load of whacked-out crazy nonsense that several people have come up with as a way of selling books, making money and becoming famous?

I love the "possibility" statement you make - same as 90% of the people who follow the hoax theory, you don't actually want to commit one way or the other

I'm not even going to lower myself to the your level and take the bait. You would all make good candidates for leaders of a dictatorship, then you would have no problem with everyone agreeing with the way you think.

It's not just a belief - it's documented Fact.

There are 'free thinkers' and there are people who believe equally insane things such as that the Earth is flat and zebras grow on trees - and they're locked up;)

I think your being a bit harsh, personal insults because someone believes something you don't (that actually has some evidence supporting it) even though they are probably wrong.

It's interesting that I didn't have a bash at what you all believed, but you were all quick enough to have a go at me. I merely stated what I had read and what I believed without being sarcastic in any way.

You mean zebras don't grow on trees? :(
