wasd replacement

Use whatever key combo you want, you can remap most games and WASD is pretty much idential to arrow keys, except maybe a mm difference in key aligement. (and arrows painted on for retards) The only other difference is distance between both hands.

The only thing you need now is to be comfortable with what you are using. So go wild.

I used to use the arrow keys waaaaaaaaaay back in the day of Wolfenstein and Doom. Moved to WASD and never really looked back, except for one brief spell when I used to play UT quite a lot around 2001/2002 and, for reasons I can not remember now, used to use arrow keys.

I did experiment with having +forward bound to the right mouse button. I remember it felt 'good' at the time.

Other than brief spells of trying different ways out, I have always used WASD.

really?

V or C are the best two i've found. only games that use prone ever really need/use them and even then you just rebind it to whichever one you don't use for vent.
Well I play a lot of MMOs and games that require a lot of keybindings. V and C are prime within-wasd-range keys so get bound to skills/functions. I always used to use mouse5 but certain programs refused to recognise it while others had it hard coded to something else which was always a total pain. Either way I just use voice activation and I have a mute switch in-line on the headset so I just mute if I don't want anyone to hear me. Works perfectly for me really.

I've used TFGH for about 12 years. Never really saw the attraction of WASD, it's too far over the side so you can't reach half the keys easily. Guess it's OK for games where you don't use many teambinds etc.

Quite how someone was playing CS beta "over 12 years" ago given the fact that Halflife hadn't even been released then, nevermind CS, I don't know :)

I've had a few hours playing FO3 using my shiny new 4870x2 :) and tbh it is getting easier. Hit the xbox aain for a few rounds of GoW3 and the pad felt awful.

I just stick with WSAD, give you access to a whole line of keys on the left hand side of the keyboard which are all lined up and easy to find.

I use wasd for most games but for cs ive always used z,x for strafe and rmb, space for forwards and back and the other mouse buttons for quick access to nades/pistol/scope. Then f,v for jump & crouch. I found it easy to get to any key instantly with this setup.

Pretty much the whole left side of the keyboard I suppose with all the other binds.

Never thought of ESDF...... dont know why...

Might give a try, would be nice on wow especially to have extra keys around the directions.

I also cannot feel the little bumps on the F and J keys.....

Toughen up & stick with WASD ;)

I can't use anything else now, 10 years playing CS & it's spawn means I'm stuck on WASD.
