Well I don't know what my ARMA is doing.

Video shows me joining 1 server and playing fine then I try to connect to our server and it just hangs on that screen. If I do get in I eventually get kicked. Doesn't happen on other servers :s

Video edited to get rid of the loading mission files showing.

Remove all your keys except for the main ones and the cba keys. Bet you it is a key issue.

Just took out all mod folders completely leaving just the 3 CBA ones. Lets see how this goes.

Well...It was all going well until I was about to leave the server to find out which mod is causing me to get kicked. Had the mouse hovering over "Abort" when...."You were kicked from the game".

Turn off cba. You don't need it running client side I am.sure.

Team vs team = Global chat and ignoring people not involved in their 1 vs 1 skirmishes.

My first stint in game went well

got kicked the first time, the second time Jason I think it was said I needed ACR Lite which I dl'd and installed. I hopped back in with no issues, got mauled by the AI, shot at by Leon, got my legs broken, learnt that you can still drive vehicles when your legs are broken, saw a heli in night flight which then detonated itself along with a gas station which I didn't get to see, but it sounded awesome from where I was ^^

Hopefully I don't mistakenly spawn in as civie again and get attacked wherever I go, suffering that under the delusion of being in OPFOR is not all that entertaining

Thankfully Leon decided it was better to fix my legs than promote me from partially crippled to dead

I'll probably see you guys online this eve ^^

this looks like fun but I am having troubles getting the ACR Lite package to install. I am getting '!!!Missing string' error all the time. downloaded the package about three times nw but still no joy :-(

First off apologies for answering my own thread but here's what worked for me in case anybody else has this issue. Go to http://www.battleye.com/download.html and download the client and server 32 bit .dll files. Go to your Arma 2 root folder and find your BattlEye folder and replace the two .dll's in that folder with the downloaded files. Viola, install successful.

Anyway, on topic:
I encountered this "Missing string" error once, and in my case i solved it by uninstalling Arma 2 and Arma 2:OA, and removing all registry entries related to Arma 2/OA.
Then installing Arma 2 and Arma 2:OA, patching Arma 2 to 1.11, patching Arma 2:OA to 1.62, and after that the ACR installer worked.

Hopefully the later route isn't necessary :/

tried the first part which didn't work so i will have to try the reinstall

Just did a fresh install of Windows so fingers crossed I can get this to work again.

my reinstall of Arma allowed me to install ACR lite now but I am still missing stuff, for example cawater2_fregata and other ca... addons which it complains about when i try to join Markers server.
