Watch Dogs

I've played this for about an hour and I'm finding it incredibly boring.

I had the same impression, stuck with it and am enjoying it much more now. I've barely finished any of the story mind, i've just been messing around with the side missions and going on the odd rampage ;)

got to a mission last night, up until that point the game had been a right solid performer but it was a mission where you got to a night club and find someone. The screen tear as soon as I got inside the night club was horrific. Soon as I got out the club and gave chase there was no more screen tear and the game was displaying some epic explosions and car crashes from the chase..

So figure that one one.. Must've been a poorly optimized and buggy part of the campaign.. My PS4 version of watch dogs till then hadn't missed a beat.

Ploughed some hours into this game though. Got my moneys worth out of it.

so i've been doing some of the side quests and stuff to get to 100 % completion and was doing the online tailing.

The thing is hugely annoying because if you're tailing somebody and they try to start a mission. They can't do it. It comes up and says "you are being invaded" and tells them to find you.

This results in them getting a gun out and running around profiling everybody trying to find you. To my mind, it shouldn't warn them that they are being tailed and just let them start the mission. This is the only time I've had it happen to me, so assume that at all other times people were just in the background and I've not noticed them. The same way I successfully tailed 10 people who never got a prompt they were being invaded. They just carried on about their business completely unaware I was there

Do they always get a warning ? are the people I tailed successfully just really inept at finding me ?

Decided to play with someone after I found them.

Almost let him get away a few times :o

Ah so that's what the anti material sniper rifle is like. On one of my tailing missions I was about 300 metres behind somebody, but he obviously got a warning he was being invaded when he tried to start a mission, as I was chasing him and came round the corner to find my vehicle suddenly exploded and I was sniped by the player as I got out of the vehicle. I wondered how he made my vehicle just explode. Makes sense now. Need to use that gun more when being invaded !

Is it really that bad, the game? I know you enjoyed GTA5... Does it even come close?

Do the missions and cut scenes make you = ?

I'm just getting annoyed at the damn cops :p It's not the worst game ever, the story is good and tbh the graphics are quite nice but it doesn't come anywhere close to GTA V imo.

trick is with the cops is that you have to use the blackout to make them lose sight of you.

And you can avoid the cops getting called a lot of the time by using the comms jammer. And even if the cops do get called on you automatically (ie no pedestrian's phone call to jam) you can use the comms jammer to block the CTOS scan and stop them from finding you in the first place.

I just drive over a bridge and raise it behind :p drive in a straight line and the helicopters can't keep up. I wish it was harder tbh. It's not like gta either where they chase you all the time. You can pretty much be as reckless as you want and the cops don't care.

All game the cops were easy to get away from until I got to the last mission. I just found them annoying as the buggers kept doing their job and trying to ram me off the road :p plus it was made harder as I didn't want to kill any of them.

Anyway, game finished and onto Murdered: Soul suspect. :o
