Watercooling advice

Oh i was looking at the pastel range

Is there any difference in liquid between both?

I just went with EK as well as being cheaper it's a well known brand name

Not at all. all aesthetics.

IMO, mayhems looks much better. Also, TBH, mayhems is a better brand than EK for fluids. It's also nice to have a mayhems rep on theses forums who's pretty active ;)

No, they look exactly the same.

However, I would get the mayhems distilled water and add drops of mayhems red. Much more customizeable that way ;)

How do you get their distilled water + red drops? :p

Only thing I see is premixed or primochill dye bombs?

Also, what you think of the EK H3O Watercooling Kit - Supreme LT 360, when adding a gpu i'll add another 240.

OcUK sell their distilled water. You can buy the drops from the mayhem online store.

Re the el kit, NO!!

Do it yourself, more fun! EK rads arent excellent, although not bad either. If you must get a kit, get the HF one or get an OcUK one as the included pumps are more powerful.

Suggest one? :p

or suggest equipment, what i originally made this thread for but no-one suggested anything :p

For just the cpu with 360rad looking at spending about ~£160 seem fine?

Lol sorry! Replied to thread to point out how wrong rjkoneill was (something he rarely is, so we need to seize every oppurtunity we get :p)

On phone ATM so I'll help you more tomorrow afternoon (email me via trust if I forget)

Whats difference between ICE GT stealth and ICE SR-1? apart from double the price? :p

Is there a huge difference between a knife and tube cutter? :p

If I'm using red will I need the clear?

Also doesn't the coolants come with algae kill? ;p

Whats the difference between that tube and the masterkleer?

Thanks again!

the stealth is half the thickness and nowhere near as good as the SR-1. The SR-1 is so good that i could run it passively with a GTX 580 @ 1ghz and an i5 2500k @ 5ghz

Is there a huge difference between a knife and tube cutter? :p
yes, i'll find that pic for you...

If I'm using red will I need the clear?
i included both as the red is a pre order, depends when you're buying it really

Also doesn't the coolants come with algae kill? ;p
the aurora's od yes, i included it if you weren't getting te auroras right away

Whats the difference between that tube and the masterkleer?
flexibility i think

Thanks again!

Ok ICE SR-1 it is :p

I won't have time to do it all until december/january when i'm off uni so it should be in stock by then :)

So I can drop the liquids + anti algae

Thanks again :)

That looks all fine to me. When adding the rad, you'll basically need to re do your loop. Will take some time and effort. Also, there's an OcUK shopper extension for chrome, try using that - makes speccing an reviewing a lot easier ;)

and the SR-1 is good, but not that good.

STFU!!! The SR-1 is win. Name a better rad for a similar price;)
Let me give a more balanced view; the sr is the best at low rpm or when running passively. The GTX is better for high rpm. Not certain where the thermos Chills if in though?

Thermochill pa/ta rads are great across a much wider fan rpm range and they are not far behind the sr1 at low rpm. I'll be able to comapre my sr1 420 to the pa140.3 i just picked up soon :)
