I've seen it mentioned on here a few times, although haven't seen any specific threads about it.

I've just installed it, Firefox is my favorite browser by far, buy I'm sick of it running dog slow all the time. I tried Opera but couldn't get on with it. But it seems a lot quicker than Firefox did. Only been using it for about half an hour so but early to say exactly how good it is yet.

Any other users?

Good thinking. As I posted in the other thread, I'm a convert. Been using firefox for years, but waterfox just seems to load pages far faster, doesn't have issues with pages containing loads of images, and its made the spellcheck work again!

I've found the same too. I've had issues with Facebook tab freezing for a few seconds when I switch to it, and the text box on forums running vBulletin 4 hangs for a few seconds, which is very annoying!

Also my favourite browser but I was wondering how do I set it up to only remember my log ins and passwords without remembering any other browsing history.

It seems to be a lot quicker than Firefox for me but NoScript slows things down a noticeable amount.

god knows why people use facebook to begin with

As a very well made social interaction tool?

I mean god knows why people use email, texts, phone calls etc.

Yes it has annoying games, stupid updates. But generally that's because you have stupid friends and FB has put in ways to stop annoying updates like so.

Obviously if you have no friends, then I can see your point.

there is this program called MSN...its been out for many years
it lets you add friends and it even lets you speak to them..OR we could always go and use myspace..where all the cool kids are

I noticed no difference in waterfox sadly. But agree with BlackAle Chrome is a lot better main reason I don't use it is it has no Noscript support. I know few clones of noscript but they are not even close in terms of security.

Hmm, ever since waterfox 10, my RAM usage for it is rather high, only really noticed it today as usually I have quite a lot of tabs opened, so usage can be a bit higher than normal, but today, I only had like 4-6 tabs opened, it is fine for the first hour or so, but after that, usage is around 600MB -1GB, which only ever happens with a lot of tabs opened or the high res screenshot thread opened.

So I went back to see what it was like with firefox 10 and so far memory usage is a lot lower. Since I opened it and with about 1 hour of browsing/left open, memory usage is around 300MB-330MB and tbh FF 10 seems just as good speed wise and as snappy as waterfox 10/9, it really is very hard to tell the difference, with firefox 9 and waterfox 9 the difference was much more noticeable.

I think I will just keep with firefox 10 for now as it seems perfectly good and battlelog with the custom mod works great :)

64bit apps will generally use more RAM will they not.

Also, a few hundred extra MB of RAM being used = A concern*
