In case you haven't noticed WB has a new President and heads are rolling and films are getting chopped.

David Zaslav has sacked a few employees, caned the new Batgirl film and Supergirl is said to be next but not sure if it's been confirmed.

Batgirl was finished, Cost 70million and now won't see the light of day.

It probably no worse than Birds of Prey or Wonder Woman 84 so I'm surprised they haven't tried to recoup some money.

Is this a case of damage limitations to the DC brand?

Their cost will be abused for tax purposes so it's not like they took that money and set it on fire.

All the same, pretty hard change in direction. No more making films for streaming, its all going to be made for theatres first from now on.

well "the flash" movie is on shaking grounds as Ezra Miller, is causing one problem after another for them. weather they call it quits or try to recast him.
And then this morning I see this - Flash’s Miller Charged With Felony Burglary

DC have made so many bad decisions with its movies in recent memory, from the abortion that was Green Lantern all the way to some of the more recent offerings, hopefully this Zaslav fella kyboshes the slew of **** they've got in the pipe and just gets back to telling decent stories.

Ezra Miller is such an unlikable dude, even without all the recent crazy **** that's been going on, Snyder made some baffling casting decisions with BvS but this ones up there with the worst of all time maybe even worse than Eisenberg as Luthor.

I didn't mind Eisenberg as Luthor, however it did feel like he was channeling a Riddler/Joker character more than Lex at times.

I agree with Miller though, haven't liked him in anything he's done so far, either in or outside the DCEU

I have to say until all this stuff came out i actually quite liked his portrayal of the character.

I believe on the Batgirl movie there is a window they can write $20m off as a tax write off but for them to be able to do that then the movie cannot be released in any form ever. So it was looking like it had already cost $90m and needed a load of post processing and sfx to be done even before the marketing etc can be done. That would have likely put them up towards the $200m+ price point and it doesnt look like they thought it would be worth losing $100m+ or $70m.

As far as some of the other TV based stuff goes, well i think its pretty much ran its course. I used to love the Flash, it was a great adaptation of the characters and stores but it has just got sooo stale and hard to watch now. I havnt even watched the latest few episodes as its such a slog.

At least it looks like Peacekeeper is safe.. For now.

He's going after CNN also.

Stated it about time there's a News broadcaster that's sits in the middle.

Just had another peek on twitter searching David Zaslav.

Best insults so far

Trumper, Racist and the Devil

Eh, I could have sworn he was already the one that killed CNN+ or whatever its online failure was.

As it should be, far and away the best comic book content put out in 4 odd years, even better than The Boys for me.
I do enjoy it but its a bit like The Suicide Squad movie its pretty bizzare. I do prefer The Boys for its shock/really really messed up content, characters and storylines factor and the story seems to be more driven but i guess thats what you get with a comic book adaptation rather than bits and bobs of story/characters from some obscure comic, but honestly gunn did a great job of it, i cant wait for the second season.

Yup. He was interviewed a month or two ago complaining about news outlets in the state's being too far left or right and his plan was to have CNN in the middle.

Found it
