Its like house prices isnt it, you are only benefitting if you are selling and dont plan to buy anything else.
Sold my old astra to them about 18 months ago, walked away with a touch over what the website said. This is exactly what I’ve just done with the Z4, got as much as I paid for it 2 years and 20k miles ago. Prices are insane at the moment.
Be careful with WBAC though. Their tactic is give top end book value unseen, get the person in, then nock it down as much as possible over everything and anything, hoping that as you’ve made the journey you’ll sell. I e never heard of someone actually being offered what they offer. Maybe things have changed now prices have gone mad?

The trick is to book it in for last thing on a Friday night when it's raining and the kid in the cabin just wants to go to the pub
there is a limit though. You cant go around offering 60% payrises if your customers wont pay you more. We cant go back to the three big tenders we won and say give us 60% more as we are struggling to find staff. They will just put it back out to tender again.
Plus we have thrown big money at those who want more spare time but they arent interested in money anymore. they have been pulling in good wages for the last 20 years and covid showed them they dont need that much money to live and enjoy life anymore.
Nope, I'd listed it with partial service history as I didn't have any paperwork for the last couple but she just looked in the book and as it was fully stamped it went through as FSH even though the book had filled up a good few thousand miles before I sold it.My neighbour said they got more than the website.
Did you haggle with them? My neighbour pretty much undersold theirs for the online valuation.

My MPS is only 4k.
Was 3k last year
Motorway are similar sort of thing but instead of your car going to auction, you agree a valuation with them then garages put offers in upto that amount and you pick one to accept (or none if not happy with the offers). There is no fee for this and the garage will come pick the car up as well. I used their app to get a valuation which came out at £8000 but they said £300 would have to come off for alloy repair (£100 - fair enough two alloys needed smart repair) and £200 for tyres that weren't needed. I could see where this was going so decided to try and sell private instead.
Yeh mine's PCP'd, settlement figure is around £6k less than what WBAC currently offeringMy M240 at 2 1/2 years old is being offered enough to just about clear the finance which is unusual for pcp at this point (its normally the third year in my experience) which opens up a world of should I jump ship and try something new.
Wish the guy I was dealing with said that as I would have carried on to see what they came out but was getting the impression at best I'd end up with what they put it in as.With motorway, it's not actually 'up to that amount'. I got almost £3k more than the 'estimate' when I sold my car with them a few months ago.
