WBAC Values

Thanks. That reaffirms my decision to list my car on AT. It's the cheapest non Cat. car on there and in much better condition than some of the higher priced ones, so even if I take a couple of thousand less than the advertised price I'll get more than what's currently being offered.

What car is it?

I am getting quotes of £22560 for my E43 now, but I am throwing on regular mileage now (34k). Non-franchised dealers are offering £28495 for fractionally older cars. There is a private ask of £34k! lol.

I only paid £32k brand new in 2019. Crazy.

EDIT: added quote to avoid upseting the resident keyboard basher.

How likely is it that you will get paid more than the initial evaluation from companies like Motorway and Carwow?

Motorway got no where near my price last year when they came to actually selling it.

When I sold my 458, I tried Motorway and they came back saying 117k.
The best actual offer was 105k.

Then a few days later a Ferrari dealer rang me directly offering 110k, so was obviously one bidding on Motorway, so I guess it can be worth putting a car on these platforms, just make sure you have the car also advertised on say PH/AT with an easy to identify photo, so then they can call you directly with a better offer, no doubt also means they don't then have to pay a kick back to likes of Motorway etc.

In the end I sold the car privately for 126k, so patience paid off. :)

My Vito is going through Motorway today, will be interesting to see what the max bid will be. They have said over £31k but I reckon £24k ish.

Actually might make money for a change!

Seems prices are still all over the shop. I have been as low as ~18k and now back up to a high of 26k.

Still really tempted....

It could be more...

I put my 2016 Skoda Superb on a Carwow auction a couple of weeks ago and was offered £7900. Miles better than WBAC which was £7300. I wasnt quite in a position to sell just then so I turned the offer down but made a mental note of the dealer who offered that price which was only a few miles from where I work.

Later, I called that dealer, took it round after work and after inspection, he offered me £8k.

Hi Everyone, so what are the downsides please to listing a car on Motorway, CarWow, WBAC etc etc

I am just trying to get a feel for where the market is right now for my car its probably worth a little more than I paid for it. Just thinking about listing but want to understand more about the process as in do I get absolutely hammered by calls from the interested dealers or do I get left alone & just the live prices I am looking for!

Thanks in advance

Just fill out the form and pay attention to marketing. You can't accidentally sell it; both Motorway and WBAC have a whole process to "dot the i's cross the ts".
